Mia Goth got snupped as well. Unfortunately the academy doesn’t like horror movies

Angela Bassett rules, and Tom Cruise, well let’s just say, he can bring he’s helicopter back to SA, and soon.

This is a great evaluation of how really important the granting of Austin Butler an Oscar for his performance as Elvis.
Even more important and dynamic would be if the Academy finally recognized Elvis Presley with an Oscar the very same night. The new book Elvis: The Quest for an Oscar was written with that goal in mind. The book is 536 pages long and takes the reader inside the reasons why Elvis Presley deserves an Oscar for his immeasurable contributions to the motion picture industry. If you are a fan of Elvis Presley or a fan of the movie Elvis this book will not disappoint.
Spread the word and let’s hope Hollywood agrees. Elvis: The Quest for an Oscar, the book that may become reality.

Viola Davis should have been there instead of Angela Bassett. Viola carried and entire movie that was FANTASTIC.

Why don’t they split the director category like acting categories? ie. Best Female director? Academy already recognizes interpretive and artistic differences in acting based on gender, why not directing?

I agree with Tom Cruise Oscar snub. The Academy should NOT acknowledge those who support the Movie industry. They should NOT validate actors who push like no others to keep people in the theaters. It’s a mistake to give Oscars to actors who do EVERYTHING to back up the Studio’s and Director’s intention to make the movie a HUGE sucess. Instead, the Academy should award those actors who are INTERESTING instead of INTERESTED. We should appreciate their DISTRACTIVE showboating of snot and dementia like no Brandon and forget about the movie itself. It’s IMPERATIVE that actors who are drug addicts, alcoholics, promiscous or otherwise irresponsible in real life, get the strongest Academy empowerment. In fact, the Academy should award anyone who attacks Tom Cruise like Leah Remora for her Documentary – The Parasite Within. Good job Academy, we know how much Tom cares about awards, this snub definitely knocked him down eh-eh-eh. 🤟
